In this role, you will work closely with experienced physical therapists to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide support throughout the rehabilitation process. You will have the chance to work with a diverse patient population, ranging from those recovering from surgeries to individuals with chronic conditions.

Specific responsibilities, not limited to:
- Confers with physical therapy staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment. Communicates with and instructs caregivers and family members on patient therapeutic activities and treatment plans.
- Transports patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements. Secures patients into or onto therapy equipment.
- Administers active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, aquatic physical therapy, and heat, light, sound, and electrical modality treatments such as ultrasound.
- Measures patients’ range-of-joint motion, body parts, and vital signs to determine effects of treatments or for patient evaluations.
- Monitors operation of equipment and records use of equipment and administration of treatment.
- Fits patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices such as crutches.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an approved curriculum Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Preferred experience in geriatric rehabilitation.
- Preferred experience in adult neurological, cardiac, and/or general rehabilitation.
- Capability to lift and transfer patients to and from various surfaces a minimum of 10 times per day.
- Proficiency in repetitive grasping and fine motor manipulations.
- Willingness to spend 60-80% of the time bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching while working with physical therapy patients.
- Willingness to spend 60-80% of the time walking/standing.
- Ability to lift approximately 50-70 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day.
