The registered nurse will be responsible for providing patient care in the surgical setting. This includes pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. The nurse will work closely with the surgical team to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care possible.
- Assess patients prior to surgery and develop a plan of care
- Administer medications and anesthesia as ordered by the surgeon
- Monitor patients during surgery and adjust care as needed
- Assist with post-operative care and discharge planning
- Document patient care in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the surgery center
- Current Florida RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
