Summary: The Quality Assurance Inspector will assist with inspections of all Modification and Repair work. Each Quality Inspector is responsible for the performance of all quality department functions assigned.
Responsibilities:
· Audit of inspection and maintenance work packages generated by the repair station during the performance of maintenance and repair.
· Work with production personnel to ensure accurate and complete documentation of work performed in company work order packages.
· Generation of maintenance record entries for aircraft components maintained by the repair station in accordance with FAR Part 43 and the requirements of this repair station manual. Includes completion of FAA forms 337 and 8130-3 as required.
· Assist in surveillance of the repair station facilities and procedures and report results to the Quality Manager.
·Assist the Quality Manager in the development of improved methods and procedures for the performance of quality functions.
· Assist the Quality Manager in the maintenance of the technical publication library.
· Assist the Quality Manager in the tracking and calibration of inspection and test equipment used by the repair station for the purpose of product acceptance.
· Complete Malfunction or Defect Reports, FAA Form 8010-4 when required. This report will be submitted to the FAA within 96 hours after the malfunction or defect has been discovered in accordance with 14CFR§145.221.
· Assist the Quality Manager as necessary in the receiving inspection of parts or material forwarded to him by the receiving inspector.
· Assure proper documentation of the preliminary inspection, hidden damage inspection, and final inspections of all items processed as assigned.
· Make entries into shop work orders and discrepancy reports in accordance with FAR part 43 and the repair station manuals.
· Assist the Quality Manager as directed.
Preferred qualifications:
· Minimum of two years of composite repair inspection experience. Equivalent combination of composite repair experience and composite inspection experience will be considered.
· Must hold a current FAA airframe certificate.
· Strong communication skills both oral and written.
·Good interpersonal skills and an ability to be professional at all time. Ability to take initiative as problems or opportunities arise.
· Knowledge and understanding of FAR’s and regulatory compliance processes

This position requires the use of vision up close (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and at a distance (clear vision at 20 feet or more), the ability to identify and distinguish colors, peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up, down or to the left and/or right while the eyes are fixed on a given point), depth perception (three dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and spatial relationships), and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment: The Quality Inspector performs work in a production environment and may regularly be exposed to dust and heat. Occasional exposure to loud noise (e.g., drilling) and fumes or airborne particles should be expected. Minimal exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals is present. Personal protective equipment may be required.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
