POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within the supply chain function, ensuring seamless coordination across various departments to meet customer needs while optimizing costs and efficiency. This role will be tasked with developing and leading a team overseeing teammate training, project management, and waste analysis. Strategic thinking with a focus on continuous improvement, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES
- Lead and oversee various supply chain improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and successful implementation.
- Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain processes and systems, develop strategies, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate communication with customers regarding supply chain issues and resolutions
- Work closely with the planning and inventory teams to optimize inventory levels, production schedules, and demand forecasts to meet customer needs while minimizing costs
- Support distribution, transportation, material planning and purchasing improvement activities as needed
- Execute supply chain strategies that optimize efficiency, minimize cost, and improve customer satisfaction
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation of best practices across the supply chain
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance to management
- Be recognized as your department’s subject matter expert by peers and customers
- Mentor and train teammates as required
- Represent the Supply Chain department in process development, functional group, or business unit meetings and/ or projects
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field or equivalent experience
Certification Requirements:
CPIM preferred but not required
Both domestic and international travel could be required between Yazaki facilities and to customer and manufacturing sites
English (required), Spanish (preferred)
SAP, Success Factors and Microsoft Suite
During customer production hours including overtime, weekend hours and holidays. Extended work hours occasionally required to meet with parties in different time zones.
