We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of dental procedures, and a commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and informed about their treatment.
- Assist the dentist during various procedures including examinations, fillings, crowns, dentures, implant restorative, and other restorative procedures.
- Clinical Duties:
- Sterilize and prepare instruments and equipment.
- Take digital dental x-rays.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts.
- Prepare dental materials such as implants, cements, dentures, and composites.
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients.
- Infection Control:
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and procedures.
- Clean and disinfect treatment rooms after each patient.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program preferred.
- Certification:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification is highly desirable.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dentrix software and x-ray equipment.
- Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
