The Senior Operations Director will oversee all operations across 5 locations. This role involves strategic leadership of a large team to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests. The Senior Operations Director should be adept at managing people, projects, and budgets, knowing when to delegate and when to take ownership. A positive and empowering attitude is crucial, as is a motivating approach to uphold a high standard across each site. The role requires flexibility, diplomacy in problem-solving, and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders. The Senior Operations Director will lead the planning and delivery of work streams, keeping senior management informed and involved in key decisions.
Responsibilities
- Full P&L responsibility.
- Develop and manage a multi-million-dollar budget, forecast, and profitability.
- Support and manage local team leadership.
- Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure adherence to all SOPs, including opening and closing checklists, and brand guidelines.
- Develop and implement training programs and ongoing training initiatives.
- Maintain brand integrity throughout the operational experience.
- Operate multi-million-dollar retail operations, develop planograms, manage promotions, signage, and product placement.
- Collaborate with operational departments to review practices and improve safety.
- Lead quarterly committee meetings with representatives from all departments.
- Encourage collaboration among local leadership to establish and promote best practices.
- Manage labor spending to meet and exceed financial targets.
- Work closely with the marketing department to support marketing programs.
- Ensure a world-class guest experience as evidenced by positive survey results.
- Foster an engaging and rewarding workplace with competitive retention rates and promotion opportunities.
- Meet and exceed P&L criteria.
- Implement improvements for guest satisfaction, employee experience, and revenue growth.
- Use data-driven approaches for decision making.
- Follow up on accident/incident reports with documented resolution within 24 hours.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operational management within a guest-facing industry, preferably hospitality.
- Be able to travel 75% of the time
- Essential budgetary and line management skills.
- Ability to prioritize needs across different departments.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key consultants and contractors.
- Engaging, energetic, and confident problem-solving skills with a good sense of humor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $175,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
