Salem High School is hiring a Project Lead the Way Teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year.
Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Engineering, in conjunction with Rowan University began at Salem High School in Fall 2014. PLTW Engineering is about applying engineering, science, math, and technology to solve complex, open-ended problems in a real-world context. Students focus on the process of defining and solving a problem, not getting the "right" answer. They learn how to apply STEM knowledge, skills, and habits of mind to make the world a better place through innovation
The PLTW Terms and Conditions outline teacher requirements and state that a teacher must do the following:
- Successfully complete course-, unit-, or module-specific PLTW Teacher Training for each course they intend to instruct.
- Meet all federal, state, and local requirements to teach each respective PLTW course.
- Successfully complete prerequisites prior to attending training events for a given course or unit.
