Job Summary
· BCS, Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst for a long-term opportunity in the Northern Virginia area to support one of our Federal clients.
Core Responsibilities
The position requires candidate to manage, analyze, and develop analytical products from large data sets, both in service of the customer’s current mission and also providing guidance to and support for the customer’s efforts to effect organizational changes. This will be accomplished by way of comprehensive mastery of Excel as both a database and an analytical tool; demonstrated expertise utilizing Microsoft 365’s advanced tools (in particular, but not limited to, PowerApps, PowerAutomate/Flow, and PowerBI) at a high level; skill at collecting, processing, analyzing, and presenting data in support of a business case; familiarity with SharePoint and Office 365 environments; and experience using the full suite of traditional Microsoft Office tools.
Application Details:
- The ideal candidate will have training/certification on a business analytics platform, preferably in the Microsoft 365-based platform/suite of tools
- Certificates/experience within another business intelligence system may be substituted if it can be demonstrated to translate to the Microsoft SharePoint/365/PowerBI/PowerApps ecosystem
- Excel skills should include high-level experience using complex formulas and tools like (V)(X)LOOKUP, array formulas, pivot tables, etc. for data cleaning/manipulation; experience with newer analytical tools like power-query and power-pivot; and proficiency with Excel’s graphical data presentation tools
- PowerPoint capabilities should include effective graphical representations of complex data; reformatting convoluted ideas for efficient presentations; and creating polished, professional slide decks
- Candidate should be able to operate within the Teams/SharePoint environment to create/manage groups; share files and track usage/editing; assign tasks; manage data-storage and data-sharing; create new pages and develop new libraries; and solve one-off information sharing/organizational challenges.
- Must be able to use tools like Bookings, Forms, and other organizational tools to create sites or collect information that will be transferred to other tools/locations to parse and analyze.
- Power Automate: Build new flows, using both template and one-off/unique processes.
- Power Apps: Build new apps and mobile-focused tools.
- Power BI: Create new combinations of data, create graphics, and enable sharing across multiple access levels.
Required Qualifications
- Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain an Agency Favorable Fitness Determination.
- College degree in related field or a minimum of four years in a project similar position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (as listed under core responsibilities).
- Experience working in the Office 365 environment (as listed under core responsibilities).
- Must be able to work independently and thrive on multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Secret clearance.
- Experience supporting Federal clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
