Required Qualifications
· Education and/or Experience consist of a 2-year degree, or relevant purchasing experience.
· Aerospace experience preferred.
· Ability to work well in time-sensitive situations where customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal.
· Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
· Must be cost conscious and comfortable negotiating with vendors.
· Detail oriented and organized.
· Able to manage/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Able to work independently and in team environment.
· Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. ERP system experience, preferably ABAS.
· Experience with Kaizen, 5S, Continuous Improvement and Lean Enterprise practices
· Experience with ISO 9000 / AS9100 requirements, and thorough knowledge of “corrective action process”.
· Must be willing and able to travel for training and/or production support as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensures purchasing functions are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
· Creates and issues purchase orders to existing vendors.
· Enters new vendors into ABAS (if needed).
· Fulfils all daily purchase requisitions.
· Sourcing, and negotiating pricing to receive the best cost possible when a new component or vendor is used.
· Follows up with vendors, tracking critical POs and communicating ETA’s to production team.
· Maintains Open PO for Pick Tickets (Machine Tool Supply only)
· Communicates with vendors/suppliers to obtain information on products or services such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
· Files all purchasing paperwork (i.e. signed vendor NDA’s, signed PO’s, Requisitions, Receivers).
· Update all spreadsheets regarding purchases.
· Assists in investigations and approval process for invoices for accounting team to process.
· Addresses and reacts to deviations in a timely manner.
· Attends departmental and organizational meetings.
· Supports production planning including but not limited to updating the waterfall chart, check-in dispositions, and performing re-wips
· Assists with putting together travelers/binders
· Manages expectations and projects with a professional attitude by complying with company policies and procedures always
· Issue, know and execute PAS Quality procedures.
· Know, adhere to and execute PAS mission statement.
· Comply and promote company policies pertaining to Code of Conduct, safety practices and export compliance.
· Willingness to support company training and cross functional efforts.
· Budget management
· Serves as a back-up for Buyer and Production Control
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
