- Be the leading expert to drive the development of software systems for a cutting-edge 3D light sheet imager.

Work closely with a multidisciplinary team across engineering, science, and product.

Drive software development through the entire lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Drive improvements in software continuously by contributing to code review, documentation, frontend and backend code implementation, and test development.

Design, implement, and validate various software systems for external customers as well as internal instrument manufacturing, and field support use.

Design software architecture that is scalable, modular, maintainable, and testable for commercial products.

Effectively communicate technical information and project priorities with external and remote partners.

Mentor junior team members and provide technical expertise in instrument control, software architecture/design, and software testing/troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.

8+ years (or 2+ with PhD) of industry experience in software development for life science instrumentation. The level of the position will depend on technical skills and experience.

Demonstrated success in the software development life cycle from design to commercial deployment and sustaining.

Strong proficiency in one of more of the following programming languages: C#, C++, and Python.

Familiarity with MATLAB is strongly desirable.

Extensive knowledge and proven hands-on experience in developing in C#, .NET WPF applications.

Experience developing software to control optomechanical systems involving imaging, robotics, and fluidics.

Proficient in multithreading/multiprocessing.

Experience with Python is a plus.

Experience with software test development.

Knowledge of data and statistical analysis is strongly desirable.

Experience working with optics, image processing, and computer vision applications is strongly desirable.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work through complex technical issues.
