Corporate Strategy Director
The Director, Corporate Strategy will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and Business Unit Presidents to develop and monitor the company’s long-term strategy, manage M&A activity, and evaluate and support new initiatives and business opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to become a leader in a growing, transformative healthcare business. Specific responsibilities may include:
- Researching industries, competitors, and emerging trends and identifying key business implications
- Scoping, executing, and/or managing outside consultants to conduct primary market research
- Conducting detailed analysis of market and internal data and collaborating with data scientists on the development of sustainable market intelligence
- Managing M&A activity, including evaluating partnership and acquisition candidates, supporting the business diligence of potential acquisitions, and managing integration activities
- Developing the business plans and creating financial models for new opportunities
- Developing and presenting presentations of data analysis and research findings to senior management
- Working in collaboration with marketing on strategic messaging to internal and external stakeholders
As part of these activities, the Director Corporate Strategy will be responsible for collaborating with senior leaders across the company. A successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in market research, strategy, and financial analysis and will ideally have experience working with healthcare companies. Education/Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline
- MBA optional
Required Work Experience/Skills
- 7-10 years of experience, with at least 2 years of experience in a top tier consulting firm, investment banking firm, or similar
- Experience working with healthcare clients or for a healthcare company preferred
- Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and financial modeling
- Excellent knowledge of market research methodologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire confidence and create trust amongst stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with PowerBI beneficial
- Ability to travel 25%
