Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
- Manage employees directly or through supervisors to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action, and performance management. (If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participate in negotiations, grievances or other contract related activities and discussions).
- HVAC, Electrical (motor control circuitry up to 480V 3-phrase), Boilers, etc. experience
- Administer the maintenance and capital projects for the site.
- Utilize the CMMS to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Implement corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators to create overall equipment effectiveness.
- Stay informed with the latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
- Ensure corporate policies and standards are followed in both capital project implementation as well as daily maintenance.
- Adhere to Company policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree or some college is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance supervision in a food manufacturing environment is required.
- Working knowledge/exposure to food manufacturing equipment i.e., filling machines, blow mold machines, air compressors, conveyors
- PLC experience (Allen Bradley platform) is strongly desired, programming a plus
- Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems desired
- Working knowledge of fabrication, welding and machining methods a plus
- A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience with maintenance technicians required.
- Experience with CMMS required; MVP JDE experience a plus
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Union, Safety and Workers Compensation experience preferred.
- Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality policies and procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
- Ability to follow Continuous Improvement (CI) Processes in the Management Operating Structure (MOS).
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other computer-based applications.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; with the ability to lead others through change
