Job Summary
Full-Time veterinary receptionist wanted for busy veterinary hospital. We are interested in an energetic, articulate candidate with a positive attitude. Our receptionist must be able to type and handle multiple phone calls at once. Must be able to follow orders quickly and be proficient in and comfortable around animals. You must have the ability to lift pets up to 40 lbs alone, and over 40 lbs with a second person; control large, anxious or angry pets and respond quickly and calmly in a time crunch. In addition, you must be able to communicate well with clients, showing care and concern for their pets. You must be able to work well with other team members. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is REQUIRED. We are a quickly growing hospital that focuses on excellent patient care and educating clients to help them provide the optimal care for their pets. Our clients are our family and we are looking for someone to treat them well.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Answering phones
- Making appointments and managing doctor's and technicians' schedules
- Addressing client questions and concerns
- Checking clients and patient in and out
- Lifting/handling animals that can be scared or anxious
- Follow directions quickly and efficiently
Qualifications and Skills
Preference will be given to candidates who have previous veterinary experience and/or previous customer service experience.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 38 per week
