HFI Management (“HFIM”) is currently seeking a Vice President of Health and Safety based in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This role will Direct and oversee the internal and external marketing functions of assigned Companies.
HFIM is the administrative and sales support division of the Brad Hall family of companies. HFIM supports companies in fuel and lube distribution, propane sales, retail fuel stations, oil field services farming, fuel transportation and other industries. The family of Companies does business in the Western United States and supplies to over 40 states.
The Vice President of Health and Safety will primarily be focused on:
Regulatory Compliance
· Ensure all required and best practice reporting is completed in a timely and accurately.
· Support and ensure compliance on third party management systems (ISNet, Avetta, Variform).
· Oversees preparation of and responses to customer and governmental agency reporting
requirements.
Incident and Claim Management
· Manages Workers Compensation programs, policies, and claims and provides effective cost management in accordance with federal and state regulations.
· Monitor all work-related injuries and verify return-to-work and light-duty programs are
completed correctly.
· Investigates, reviews, and analyzes incidents identifying root causes. Collaborates with leaders to develop prevention strategies and communicates strategies to the appropriate parties.
Program Management
· Leads development and monitoring of enterprise health and safety program based on state and federal requirements, company goals, and best safety practices.
· Develop and maintain health and safety programs and processes and ensure behavior-based safety is instilled in the enterprise.
· Leads health and safety team to develop and enforce safety policies and procedures
that align with company’s culture and strategic initiatives.
· Ensure safety manuals, incident reporting processes, investigation procedures,
emergency response, and other similar processes are best of class and executed
appropriately.
· Manage, improve, and develop required and best practice policies and procedures.
· Direct and oversee the Safety Council for enterprise and ensure the Safety Committees
in each entity are effective and valuable.
· Ensure all safety practices are effectively impacting key performance indicators and regulatory safety scores.
· Develop and oversee safety training, required certification and incident prevention programs.
· Create and monitor internal and external safety auditing programs and ensure improvements are executed timely and appropriately.
The preferred candidate for the Vice President of Health and Safety will have the following:
· Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or related field, plus five years’ experience administering a comparable Safety program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
· Ten or more years’ experience in a related field.
· Four or more years of supervisory experience required.
· Multi-site safety management experience.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent project management skills, including effectively multitask, strong analytical skills, and customer service focus.
· Excellent computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
· Strong business acumen.
· Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
