Arisa Health is growing, and we are searching for a Patient Accounts Specialist to join our team in Jonesboro. The Patient Accounts Specialist will be responsible for the administration and tracking of patient personal accounts assigned to the organization.

Formed by the affiliation of 4 long-standing Arkansas community mental health centers, Arisa Health leads with exceptional care that nurtures health and well-being for all. Arisa provides outpatient services, Crisis services and emergency screening, substance abuse counseling, intensive children services, intensive adult services, medical services, and residential services in 41 Arkansas counties.
This position is classified as full- time, non-exempt (hourly) Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
What you will do as a Patient Accounts Specialist:
- Process payments for each individual’s utility bills, rents, etc. Process weekly checks to ensure timely payments of all bills received. Follow social security guidelines on what is expected and allowed as the representative payee.
- Issue weekly allowance to clients.
- Maintain current and accurate records for each client’s account for monies received, bills/rent paid, interest, etc.
- Implement physician orders.
- Process Spend down applications on any PPA client, work closely with spend down specialist
- Maintain constant communication with case managers, landlords, court officials, social security administration, etc.
What we look for in a Patient Accounts Specialist:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Great multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently.
