Mission:
Responsible for all facility activities, quality, and customer satisfaction. Responsible for the management of all departments such as Environmental, Health, & Safety, Quality, Production/Operations, Maintenance, Materials, Human Resources, Engineering and Finance. This includes responsibility for planning, directing, implementing, measuring, analyzing, profitability and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure efficient operations in all areas of two production facilities, including but not limited to: Manufacturing, Sequencing, Engineering, Logistics, Employee Relations, Health Safety and Environmental, Facilities, Quality Assurance, and P&L (200+ employees between the sites)
Implement manufacturing strategies to ensure that facility supports the initiatives of Plastic Omnium
Understand service aspect of the business to understand trends that will improve support of regional objectives
Manage spending against budget in relation to changes in production volume
Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes
Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships
Additional Requirements:
Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
Create a working environment in which problem solving tools and techniques are applied to effectively resolve issues
Understand the impact of short-term decision on medium to long-term performance and strike the appropriate balance
Focused development of team members and encouragement to participate actively in change management when face with new challenges (technological, organizational, etc.)
Develop and maintain both a safe facility environment and a workforce capable of meeting manufacturing requirements in accordance with production and deliver schedules
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. in Industrial, Business Management, or Engineering
- 10 years of manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of budgets, inventory, costing, scheduling and customer service
Desired Characteristics:
- Knowledge of Fuel Systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented with strong time management skills
- Ability to build a cohesive team environment
