We are currently seeking an experienced Junior Recruitment Specialist to assist with all non-attorney openings.
Position Summary: The Junior Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Recruitment Specialist in the full cycle recruitment for all non-attorney positions within all Becker offices. The ideal candidate will have a professional manner, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to identify top candidates in the legal market. Must have previous law firm or search firm experience recruiting legal professionals. This is a hybrid position with the ability to work in the main office in Ft. Lauderdale as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Candidate recruitment and retention: Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and reviewing non-attorney candidates utilizing job boards, social networking and internal database, etc. Interview prospective legal candidates via phone, Zoom and Teams to assess skill set, work history, and salary requirements.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified legal talent to submit to current and future openings.
- Responsible for creating job descriptions and submitting for review by Office Managers, hiring supervisor and/or hiring Attorneys.
- Will post non-attorney positions on Indeed.com and the firm’s ATS, UltiPro/UKG and other job boards, such as LinkedIn and Handshake.
- Daily tracking of all openings and candidates on Excel spreadsheet to be utilized during weekly recruiting meetings.
- Will serve as back up to the HR Assistant for creating external firm-wide job listing for distribution – “Becker Agency Opportunities ” and for the search firm listing of open positions.
- Will ensure that all candidates apply to positions by directing them to the firm’s website.
- Will track all candidates in the interviewing and hiring process within UltiPro/UKG.
- Responsible for gathering all relevant emails, Application of Employment and uploading into the shared “New Hire” folder.
- Will perform reference checks on all new hires.
- Will initiate online assessments to potential candidate and evaluate scores as related to firm’s requirements.
- Responsible for discussing salaries with potential candidates and presenting offers.
- Will explain benefits package to potential new hires and present Summary of Benefits document for review.
- Consistent communication with candidates through due diligence process and notify them in a timely manner when process has been completed to ensure accurate start date.
- Attends external recruiting events – job fairs, etc.
- Assists the HR Department, as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Strong technical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dynamic environment, while maintaining a sense of urgency.
· Must have a proven track record of success and be a self-motivated individual.
· Experience with ATS, UltiPro preferred.
Education and Experience:
· Associates Degree
· Must have experience with heavy sourcing on job boards such as LinkedIn.
· Two – four years of relevant recruiting experience is required; law firm experience is preferred.
