Mildred Elley, a private multi campus institution, is seeking a Career Services Advisor for the Career Services Department at its New York City - Metro campus. The faculty and staff of Mildred Elley have a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, focusing on academic improvements, student service improvements, and accreditation and compliance improvements.
Job Description:
- Guide students and graduates with their job search and interview protocols.
- Provide one-on-one career counseling, assist with resumes, mock interviews and job search strategies.
- Interview students and graduates to learn more about skills, background, and job search availability.
- Review resumes and cover letters and provide edits and recommendations.
- Screen and manage the candidate’s job search and match graduates to appropriate employment opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers and serve as the primary contact.
- Completes clearing process and provides required placement paperwork to Director of Career Services
- Microsoft Office Suite: experience including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Requirements/Required & Preferred Credentials:
- Experience with recruiting, job development, or career placement a plus
- A minimum of an Associate degree is required.
Compensation:
$45,000 - $47,000 per year based on experience.
