Accounting Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for supporting the accounting department in a variety of tasks related to general accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable transactions. This role is responsible for working with confidential and sensitive information, including banking information, company financial records, and general business information.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with staffing team on time off tracking and requests
- Review and approve staff timesheets, track missing timesheets
- Work with AP team on research and network invoices, ensuring project codes are recorded timely and accurately
- Maintain copies of AP invoices and payments
- Process payments utilizing methods such as online billpay, ACH
- Back up for AP and employee expense approvals and payment
- Track and assign project codes to new projects
- Set up new project sales orders in SAP
- Backup other finance department duties as needed and engage in special projects as assigned
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
- 1-3 years' experience in Accounting or Finance role
- SAP Business ByDesign experience, a plus.
- Prior experience within a professional services organization preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to educate and support colleagues and clients
Location: Boston, MA preferred
Our offices utilize a hybrid work model and this role will be expected to be in the office on a regular basis.
