Medical Assistant
Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient information in electronic health records
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and medical office software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
