Summary
The Director of Audiology will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the audiology department. The Director of Audiology will plan, direct, organize and administer responsibilities with providers. This role will lead all Audiology staff by providing resources on all topics in relation to clinical practice, coordination of patient related services, continuing education, and development, along with creating clinical budgets. The Director of Audiology will act as part of the Executive Leadership Team. Lead efforts as an ambassador of our CHS values: Compassion, Teamwork, Integrity, Excellence and Respect.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Clinical doctorate degree in Audiology.
- Minimum of 5-10 demonstrably successful years' professional experience in delivery of audiology services.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in a clinical setting.
- Must be an individual who has shown outstanding capabilities as a leader and organizer, an ability to work well with people at all levels, and a high level of proficiency in oral and written communications.
Licensure/Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Licensure in Audiology issued by Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board.
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements: must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, must be able to sit on the floor to interact with young children for extended periods of time, and must be able to move efficiently and quickly from one position to another.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role will lead and manage the audiology department.
Work Environment
This position is held in a clinical setting.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position; Clinic hours and days are Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. This role will require available beyond the regular hours of the Center as may be required for special projects and community involvement.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, some travel to local to various contract sites and satellite offices. The time and mileage are paid.
