PRIMARY FUNCTION
Work in coordination with the Manager and other coworkers to ensure that all jobs are TIG welded (GTAW) to the specifications of each job and meets the outlined requirements.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- TIG weld components in all positions.
- Operating equipment using safe work habits.
- Examining work pieces for defects.
- Measure work pieces with straight edges, tape measure, scale, or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Weld steel, aluminum, invar or other alloys.
- Clamping, holding, tack-welding, grinding or bolting component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Able to read blueprints and weld symbols
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production time sheets.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient with TIG/GTAW
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate in welding technology or equivalent work experience
- To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
