2024-2025 School Year Opportunities!
Learning Exchange serves non-public schools throughout the City of Milwaukee. We are seeking certified teachers to fill full and part time Title I interventionist positions for the upcoming school year. Teachers hired by Learning Exchange are placed in Milwaukee area non-public schools to work with small groups of students in Reading/ELA and Math interventions.
Please note: Learning Exchange has full time and part time teaching placements. Benefits are available to staff members who work 30 hours or more per week.
*Opportunities to combine more than one placement to create a full time (30 hours or more per week) position may be available.
Learning Exchange is seeking candidates for the following full time and part time positions:
- K-8 Interventionists (reading and math)
- High School English/Reading or Math Interventionists (certified in 6-12 English or Math)
- Substitute Teachers / Interventionists
Requirements:
- State of Wisconsin Teacher License (Please note: a State of Wisconsin Substitute Teaching license does not meet the qualifications for any of these positions, including the substitute interventionist positions)
Duties:
- Small group intervention in reading and math, K5-8th, 6th-12th grade levels
- Lesson planning and delivery of intervention / instruction
- STAR testing
- Reporting daily attendance, progress monitoring using online tools
- In-person and written communications with stakeholders
- Participation in parent-teacher conferences
- Family Engagement event participation

- Title I Interventionists are only there to TEACH - no bus duty, no recess duty, no lunch duty
- All teaching resources are provided for you including the intervention curriculum and supplies needed to ensure you are successful in your role
- Full time teachers receive 45 minute prep and a 45 minute lunch each day
- Ongoing training and support provided by the Learning Exchange Instructional Leadership team.
- Full Time Interventionists are paid (reflective of each employee's weekly FTE) 5 days for Christmas Break, 5 days for Spring Break. 8 hours paid per each holiday: Labor Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, MLK Day, Good Friday, and Memorial Day.
Additional Tasks / Work Environment
- Interventionists are placed in schools which may require climbing stairs, smaller classroom spaces
- Light lifting, walking, escorting students in between sessions
- Sitting for longer periods of time while working with small groups of students
Qualified candidates will go through an interview process, which includes a background check.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
