About the Role
Heyday Skincare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to oversee all aspects of our operational activities. The Director of Operations will play a critical role in optimizing efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the seamless execution of our business strategies.
This position is based in New York City, reports directly to the VP of Shops and Operations and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our organizational goals.
What You’ll Do
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational scalability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product development, and customer service, to align operational activities with business objectives.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and implement shop and region level initiatives to increase sales while controlling operational costs
- Ensure store operations adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance, analyze data insights, and drive decision-making.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to the shop team at all levels ensuring optimal business and guest engagement results
- Ensure top talent is identified and selected across the region and assist with the on-boarding of new management employees and the development of leadership skills
- Oversee all shops upkeep and presentation to ensure they are in line with brand standards and meet the needs of the staff for all services
- Act as liaison between shops and support office to ensure flow of communication is regular and productive to move business forward
- Champion Heyday’s values with shops team and ensure a friendly, welcoming and educational work environment
The Ideal Candidate
- 8 - 10 years of progressive operating experience in either hospitality, retail and consumer-facing experiential businesses
- Transparent leadership and exemplary interpersonal skills; able to build consensus and teamwork across all levels of the organization, from Support Office to field
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing estheticians or working in the service industry is preferred
- Analytical aptitude – embraces metrics and data to inform decisions; able to deliver on KPIs
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Success in driving operating strategies to elevate consumer experiences and using data and feedback to refine those strategies over time
- Passionate about the brand with deep acumen and sensibility around customer experience
