Position Summary
Performs routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical test and measurement equipment using standard and specialized hand tools and diagnostic test and measurement equipment. Performs with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- Performs calibrations, modifications, diagnoses, and repairs on various types of test and measurement equipment.

May be required to travel to customer sites to perform field service on equipment.

Communicates with operational staff and customers to determine their needs in areas such as repairs, alignments, technical assistance, and any other areas of concern.

Assists in training of new technicians.

Maintains an increased technical proficiency and effectiveness through on the job training and self-study.

Accurately and efficiently completes all necessary documentation and reports, as required.

Assists operational staff, when necessary, in maintaining a high level of customer interaction and satisfaction.

Develops calibration procedures and measurement systems for use on customers’ equipment in compliance with Instrument Calibration Solutions, Inc quality requirements.

Assures compliance to internal quality systems. Performs quality assurance functions, where applicable, to ensure calibration reports comply with all pertinent customer requirements.

Verifies that all laboratory standards and test equipment are within their calibration dates prior to use.

Ensures that all customer-owned equipment is serviced and returned within the turnaround time promised to the customer.

Coordinates with operational staff regarding the status of customer equipment, lab personnel, and any problems or situations that arise during calibration.

Performs other laboratory support functions as required for the efficient and orderly operation of the facility.

Uses standard hand tools, measurement and test equipment, computers and computer peripherals, material handling devices, and other common office and electronic test equipment.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements

High school diploma or GED
-
Higher education coursework in related fields (electronics, metrology, etc.) preferred.

Work experience in a laboratory setting or with electronics preferred.
