Duties
Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine their occupational therapy needs - Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their daily living skills and achieve their goals - Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, balance, and strength - Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their independence - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and speech therapists, to coordinate patient care - Monitor and document patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate with patients' families or caregivers
Qualifications
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program - Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational therapy principles - Experience working with pediatric or ICU patients is a plus - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include every task or responsibility that may be required.
