Position Summary: As a Shuttle Stop Manager for Gameday Productions Services (GPS), you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient transportation for event attendees between their hotels and the event venue. Working in pairs, you will manage a designated shuttle stop in the downtown Chicago area, overseeing the boarding process and ensuring that ticket-holders are properly identified and prioritized. This annual event takes place July 18-22, and hosts players, coaches, families, and spectators from across the nation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee an assigned shuttle stop location throughout event hours, ensuring the safe and organized boarding of shuttle buses for event attendees.
- Collaborate with your fellow Shuttle Stop Manager to coordinate boarding procedures and uphold a structured queue.
- Prioritize shuttle boarding during peak periods, giving precedence to student athletes with upcoming competitions, accompanied by their guardian and occasionally coaches.
- Adjust crowd management strategies according to the unique dynamics of the shuttle stop location.
- Acquaint yourself with the different wristband types to accurately identify ticketholders eligible for shuttle services.
- Make use of the provided chairs to establish a comfortable and functional workspace at the stop.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and event organizers via group messages on WhatsApp, including submission of shuttle departure times at your site throughout the event.
- Ensure possession of a personal mobile device to facilitate seamless communication and coordination.

- Workdays: July 19-22
- Shift duration: 8-16 hours

- Pay: $20/hr
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Previous experience in event management or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Able to utilize a personal smart phone for vehicle tracking
