Quality Control Technician

Summary: Growing and dynamic company is looking for a full-time Quality Control technician for a demanding yet rewarding position. Riggio Valve is a valve repair and test shop that was established in 1945, and we still maintain the foresight, passion and speed of a startup. We are looking for someone competent, mechanically resourceful, detail-oriented, safety conscious, and an exceptional communicator.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversight of all quality control aspects of the companies’ services which include but are not limited to:
- Use measurement tools to ensure product specifications are followed.
- Perform inspections across all stages of production.
- Prepare and maintain test data for review.
- Review/certification of work and documentation supporting such work.
- Calibrate quality control measures to make sure they are functioning properly.
- Monitor finished products to confirm their compliance with quality standards and remove those which fail to comply.
- Train employees to understand regulations, follow procedures, and work within the system.
- Identify ways to improve existing processes and systems to improve quality and consistency.
Competencies: You must possess the ability to exercise good judgment, problem solve, work independently, and be motivated to perform to the best of your abilities. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, written and oral communication skills, computer and technical skills, analytical and reporting skills as well as high ethical standards. You should be willing to take on any challenge but also know your limitations.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience
- cycle counting/material control
- mechanical inspection/read and interpret drawings
- tool calibration
- Competency in Microsoft programs
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- ISO 9001 quality management experience a plus
- OSHA safety background a plus
Work ability: Must be able to work in the United States.
Compensation & Hours: We offer a competitive salary with benefits commensurate with experience. We are only looking for full-time individuals. This is NOT a remote position.
Pay: This is a non-union hourly rate job: $25/hr – $35/hr based on experience

- Shop location with a potential for some field visits. Bayonne, NJ.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 6:30AM to 3:00PM with overtime as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
