Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Molly’s. As a vital member of our small business, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our growth.
Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
- Prepare journal entries for accurate financial reporting.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Manage customer invoicing and collections.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for management.
Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Tax Compliance:
- Coordinate with external accountants for the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in a retail setting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of [4 years] of relevant bookkeeping experience in a retail environment.
