Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food production, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and managing a team of kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning, recipe creation, and food preparation
- Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and assigning tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service
Experience:
- Previous experience in restaurant management or kitchen supervision is required
- Strong knowledge of food service industry standards and practices
- Proficiency in using Toast POS or similar restaurant management software
- Familiarity with bartending techniques and coffee preparation is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership and communication skills
