As a Customer Service Associate at Maya, you’ll provide a welcoming and affirming experience for our diverse clients. You’ll be expected to work both independently and in conjunction with other staff to take care of our clients: scheduling appointments, answering questions, and always greeting them with a smile. Hours: 15-30, shift coverage when needed
Schedule: Every other Saturday 11:30am - 4:00pm. Every Sunday 8:00am - 4:00pm. When hired, we will go through a week of training throughout the week and will work with you to find times that work best for training before you start your regular shift.
Compensation: Entry Level; Typically, $16/hour to start, with option for raise at 10 weeks and 1 year, DOE.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Customer Service Associate reports directly to the Studio Manager and operations coordinator, providing support in a wide range of operations, retail, communications, and marketing activities. Primary scope includes:
- Provide front desk reception, warmly welcoming clients and staff, as they arrive in the studio, learning names and faces and preferences to provide accurate and pleasant check-in and check-out.
- Moderate Online Group Classes during your shift.
- Offer tours for new and prospective clients, ensuring an affirming and inclusive experience.
- Answer phone, respond to voicemail(s), and e-mail(s) with calm presence, kindness, and precision in communication - utilizing scripts, templates, knowledge of studio and/or directing accordingly.
- Schedule appointments for clients using established protocols, gathering and confirming necessary information.
- Check out appointments and class package purchases in the online software POS system (MindBody Online).
- Monitor appointments and class schedules and notify management of any potential problems.
- Monitor all areas of the studio for maintenance issues and notify management or respond accordingly.
- Assist with general cleaning, organizing, and maintaining studio appearance and flow of activity.
- Assist with retail inventory management.
- Assist with set-up, clean-up, logistics for studio events.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated appreciation and commitment to the values of Maya Whole Health Studio.
- Positive references from past employment (volunteer and/or paid), preferably including direct customer or community service.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate precisely and effectively with customers and colleagues in person, by phone, and via email.
- Track record of reliability, punctuality, and commitment to employer and/or collaborative team efforts.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher).
- Versatility and flexibility – able to fluidly shift tasks, focus, expectations, plans in the course of any day or hour, based on emerging circumstances, and remain calm and pleasant.
- Passion for excellent client care; ability to engage constructively with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Access to dependable transportation and means for communication.
