Responsibilities of the Front Desk Night Audit Associate
Be ready to begin work at specified time. Follow dress code. Uniform must be clean, pressed, tucked in, buttoned, and wear name tag. Maintain emergency reports / Bucket checks per shift.
Handle guest complaints and maintain secure and safe environment.
Must be capable of working independently. Responsible for cash drawer balancing.
Operate switchboard and disperse messages as required / time and date: complete and accurate.
Log and set wake-up calls.
Take reservations with accuracy and confirm all information, always provide confirmation and cancellation numbers, ask to guarantee reservations.
Maintain Front Desk cleanliness on a daily basis: dusting, vacuuming, etc.
Ensure lobby is clean and neat. Assist with laundry operations.
Review arrivals for special requests and accommodate guests or provide reasonable solutions.
Process Night Audit reports and financials independently.
Communicate shift-to-shift and utilize pass on log.
Greet, thank, and extend service immediately to all guests entering the hotel or walking by desk area.
Promote property at all times / Be aware of competitor’s rates, amenities, and sell property with confidence.
Be hospitable / exceed expectations when offering assistance with luggage, directions, emergencies, etc.
Know all emergency procedures and how to respond in case of occurrence.
Know physical make-up of building interior and exterior layout.
Enforce pool rules as needed.
Know rates and locations and furnishings in each room.
Be aware of restaurants and services in the area.
Qualifications
Be enthusiastic and show initiative.
Remember names, faces, and details.
Must be accurate and detail oriented, capable of troubleshooting guest problems.
Work well with Team and individually Windows computer experience.
Customer Service Experience. Experience working with Office programs such as Excel and Word.
Physical Requirements
Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing.
Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel to assist clients.
Occasional carrying and lifting of files and office items up to 25 lbs.
Ability to work well under stressful circumstances.
