This position works in a warehouse cold and freezer settings, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers, forklift machines. This position may require to work weekends, holidays, and starting at various start and ending times that are required in order to successfully meet customers’ needs.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, Saturday (As Needed) 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM.
FUNCTIONS
1. Repacking
2. Sorting
3. Receives frozen product and organizes
4. Labels frozen product and returns product to storage
5. Maintains frozen product inventory
6. Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders.
7. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, stored, distrusted and/or shipped.
8. Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
9. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
10. File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver.
11. Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople, vendors, and customer traffic.
12. Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
13. Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
14. Update amount of products or items received or distributed via appropriate computer or hand held device.
15. Assist in counting physical inventory.
16. Unloading/Loading shipments and placing them in assigned location throughout Tapia warehouse.
17. Inform supervisor of any difference in quantity, product description, damaged product, and incomplete order.
18. Correctly label product so that the label can be seen on the outside of the pallet.
19. Pre-shift checks of equipment (visually and operationally).
20. May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
21. Sweep, dust, mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
22. Wear the proper safety equipment. Hard hats required. Non-slip resistant shoes.
23. Assist with will – call orders
24. Shuttling product from staging area to assigned location / bin
25. No cell phones permitted during working hours. Cell phones may be used only at breaks and lunch hour. Failure to comply with this rule will result in being sent home as well as a formal write up.

SCHEDULE
· Monday through Friday, Saturday (As Needed) 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
· 30 minutes lunch, two ten minute breaks
· If you are going to be tardy and/or absent it is your responsibility to contact your immediate supervisor before your scheduled start time. If you are absent two consecutive working days a doctor’s note is required
SALARY
· $18.00 to $20.00 (depending on experience)
· Eligible for (40) forty hours of sick pay the first of the month following 30 days.
