The Rochester, NH Police Department is currently hiring for certified and non-certified police officers. Police Officers perform responsible law enforcement duties, including patrol, investigations, traffic control and a variety of other duties designed to preserve peace and order and to protect life and property in the City of Rochester.

Minimum Qualifications:
· US citizen
· Possession of a valid driver's license
· High school diploma or GED equivalent (military or college preferred)
· Ability to pass a background investigation to include a polygraph examination
· Ability to pass a physical agility test (Cooper Standards, 35th percentile)
Candidates are not eligible for employment if the following apply:
· Use of Marijuana or Marijuana products within 12 months
· Use of other controlled substances for a within 3 years (unless under the age of 21 at the time, in which case within 2 years)
· Manufacture, or sales activity of a controlled substance
· Any felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions which would cause reasonable doubt as to a candidates character, honesty, or ability to perform as a police officer

Salary & Benefits:
· FY25 patrol pay range $60,351.41 to $82,675.22 dependent upon qualifications and experience
· 10-hour shifts (4 days on, 3 days off) are temporarily in place
