The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing Pyramid's e-commerce strategy at the Branded regional and hotel level and ensuring that individual hotels activate their digital channels, including CRM, SEM, SEO, OTAs, metasearch, social and digital communication. This role collaborates with the regional e-commerce directors, and property teams in the West Region to ensure hotel e-commerce tactics are consistently active, funded, and following best practices. The digital marketing specialist is a member of the Pyramid E-Commerce Team. The specialist is expected to share and develop best practices, positively impact RevPar, manage e-commerce budgets, develop brand hotel e-commerce expertise, and deploy solutions that further and support the weekly, monthly, and annual goals of each hotel. Specifically, this position will work with hotels to ensure they are fully activated online to take full advantage of advertising, pricing, positioning, packaging, photography, and content on all e-commerce websites, including Brand.com, vanity, or independent hotel sites. This role reports to the Vice President of E-commerce.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure that hotels are fully activated on their respective brand's website and their vanity site and, if appropriate, in-language global sites.
a. Implementing and managing the Hotel Web Sites on Brand.com and its global sites, including updating content and imagery.
i. Conduct regular audits of Brand.com Hotel Web Sites to ensure each hotel is optimized for high-quality custom images, content, links, and work
with hotels on corrective action.
ii. Manage the pull-through and activation of key corporate e-commerce projects (e.g., new Brand.com Hotel Web Sites, vanity web sites)
b. Marketing the Brand.com Hotel Web Sites including SEO, SEM, Metasearch and other supporting digital media
i. Coordinate execution of online marketing efforts through approved agencies/vendors.
ii. Provide tracking, analysis, and reporting on the effectiveness of e-commerce tactics.
c. Where appropriate, recommend new features or functionality to incorporate into Pyramid's e-commerce strategy.
d. Ensure that all web sites, content, collateral, tactics, etc., for all hotels within a region comply with Brand's Internet Brand Standards and Policies.
2. Verify that hotels are fully activating and optimizing their presence on approved digital channels
a. Ensure that all hotels are participating in approved digital channels.
b. Regularly audit content, images, and star ratings on e-channels, and work with hotels to make appropriate corrections
c. Execute hotel/cluster digital marketing tactics
d. Collaborate with and support regional e-commerce directors to audit hotel performance on digital channels.
3. Employ digital marketing strategies and tactics to drive revenue for hotels, including:
a. Use search engine optimization, paid search, email marketing, and other online marketing tactics to increase penetration with target customers
b. Collaborate closely with the Regional E-commerce directors to execute/pull through online Brand and Independent hotel marketing strategies and
plans.
c. Use B2B e-tools to grow online bookings for Group and Corporate business in cluster hotels
4. E-Commerce Communication, Training, and Education:
a. Cultivate relationships and communicate with property DOM's, GMs, etc., to raise their awareness, understanding and motivation to support digital
tactics and channels for their hotels.
b. Participate in regularly-scheduled e-commerce team and hotel conference calls/web calls to review performance, share best practices, and
troubleshoot issues. Follow-up on open items.
c. Develop other regional-level e-commerce communications, as appropriate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1 or more years of e-commerce, marketing, or digital marketing experience in the hospitality industry

University degree in hospitality management, marketing, technology, or business preferred
- Strong understanding of traditional and online marketing

The ideal candidate will have hotel property experience, hotel field marketing experience, and brand e-commerce experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, Choice, and/or equivalent.

An understanding of hospitality CRM platforms, ability to execute email marketing campaigns and knowledge of email marketing best practices preferred.

Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $60,000.00/Yr. - $70,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
