Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Data Analyst in a basic science research laboratory. Our lab is interested in studying the relationship between mitochondrial metabolism and lung stem cells as it relates to lung injury repair and the development of pulmonary fibrosis. The Data Analyst will manage genomic/metabolomic and spatial data, and perform bioinformatic analysis of bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, single-cell spatial, and metabolomic datasets, in order to conduct ongoing NIH-funded research projects under the guidance of the Principal Investigator, who is a physician-scientist specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to expand their expertise in data analysis and gain invaluable experience that will be beneficial for future academic pursuits, such as a PhD, or for securing high-paying positions in industry.
The candidate should be expected to have completed a master’s or more advanced degree in bioinformatics at the start of employment. Six months or more of research experience in data analysis, paid or unpaid, is required. If interested, please send your CV and cover letter.
