Job Overview:
Pediatric Psychological Testing Services is seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to patients in a clinic setting. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse pediatric patient population and contribute to enhancing mental health outcomes.
Duties:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy sessions for individuals, families, and groups
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Conduct clinical research and contribute to advancements in the field
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctorate in Psychology or Educational Psychology from an accredited university.
- Two years of clinical experience, preferably one year in the field of developmental disability.
- Experience, training, and/or interest in Autistic Spectrum Disorders and/or Behavioral Intervention management are especially desired.
- Knowledge of clinical psychology, developmental psychology, personality development; principles, and application of psychotherapeutic methods including but not limited to applied behavior analysis, and cognitive and group dynamics.
- Administration and interpretation of diagnostic psychological tests; research design; statistics; and measurement theory.
- Ability to plan a psychological evaluation and intervention program; communicate effectively.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Possession of a psychologist license issued by the Texas State Board of Psychology or currently meets eligibility requirements for such licensure.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook systems. Ability to utilize a fax machine, phone system, and other office materials as necessary for the position.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution
- Texas State licensure as a Clinical Psychologist
- Experience in research, data collection, and clinical research methodologies
- Proficiency in Child and Family Counseling, PTSD Care, and Behavioral Health interventions
- Prior experience working in a clinic or healthcare setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
