Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing the daily program which includes lesson plans that promote activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of children enrolled at the Center.
- Attend parent group and Center functions.
- Supervise all activities to always ensure the safety of the children.
- Report to the lead teacher any problem which may occur with the children, students, and/or families.
- Observe, record, and report on the behavior of individual children as assigned.
- Help with the general housekeeping tasks.
- Always maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the Center.
- Treat all children, families, and college students with dignity and respect.
- Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
- Participate in professional organizations that work for the improvement of early
childhood education.
- Model high quality practices for CDYC students.
- Maintain a neat and organized classroom.
- Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene, which may include assisting with toilet training.
- Prepare snacks and lunches daily.
Required Experience:
A warm, sensitive, mature individual who relates well to children and adults. CDA and childcare experience preferred but will train the right individual.
