Title: Acquisition Program Manager (Must have DoD experience)
Client: Federal Agency
Ability to Work: Remote
Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
Work Schedule: 8 am - 5 pm (must work Eastern standard hours)
Work Day: Monday – Friday
Responsibilities:
The Acquisition Program Manager candidate will have a PMP and have managed a team of 50 FTEs preferably in Contract Support or Acquisition support. The incumbent will oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of government contracts, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and laws. This role involves drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing contracts in collaboration with various stakeholders, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met efficiently and effectively.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage and oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to closeout.
- Maintain detailed and organized files for each contract, including the original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules, and reports.
- Ensure contracts comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and government policies.
- Identify potential risks associated with contract terms and conditions and propose mitigations.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Work closely with internal departments, such as legal, finance, and procurement, to ensure contract terms align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and stakeholders regarding contract-related issues and questions.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between all parties involved in the contract.
- Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with government regulations.
- Track and monitor contract performance, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Prepare regular reports on contract status, compliance, and performance metrics.
Required Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Public Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management in a government environment.
