At Alliance Plastics, the Industrial Maintenance Service Technicians' work involves checking, repairing and servicing film and cardboard production machinery, facility equipment, systems and infrastructures. The role is employed to ensure that Alliance Plastics’ machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably.
The Maintenance Service Technician makes a direct contribution to important plant goals of increasing labor productivity, reducing maintenance costs and improving equipment reliability. The work typically involves: planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance, training and troubleshooting with the ultimate goal of optimizing the efficiency of our Operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducting Maintenance / Supporting Operations
- Inspect all electronic, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components of Alliance Plastics’ converting equipment to ensure they are functioning in an optimal manner.
- Maintain all equipment to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions that could lead to costly repairs, downtime, or the production of off-spec and/or poor quality product.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum High School or GED required.
- Trade or Technical school certificate program preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 2 - 4 years of experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC and electrical maintenance in a high paced manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Able to safely and appropriately operate machines, hand-tools and electrical equipment.
- Able to troubleshoot, disassemble and re-assemble equipment.
- Fundamental knowledge of personal computers, related software and print reading.
- Fundamental knowledge of machine building, electrical wiring, PLC programming, ergonomics, OSHA and Industrial Safety standards.
