The Customer Service Representative will provide solutions that fit those individualized situations and prioritize the customers' needs at each step of the process, while executing Volume’s mission and vision statement of being the best place to work, and generating a profit by remaining safe, compliant and productive.
o Manage Customer Accounts: Handle current customer accounts, maintaining positive relationships with both carriers and customers.
o Inbound and Outbound Calls: Deal with a high volume of phone calls, addressing inquiries and providing assistance to internal and external customers.
o Problem Solving: Solve customer and carrier issues promptly and effectively.
o Quoting Shipments: Provide shipment quotes to customers and set up shipments as needed.
o Multitasking: Demonstrate excellent multitasking skills, both within your workspace and with computer software programs.
o Professionalism: Represent the company professionally and serve as a role model for other employees.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Must be able to work with little supervision
· Must be able to prioritize work to insure business needs are met in relation to equipment availability
· Must possess strong organizational skills
· Must be computer literate
