At Arizona Facility Services (AFS), we're seeking a talented Controls Project Manager for our dynamic team based in Tempe, Arizona. This role involves managing Controls Applications projects, overseeing project execution, verifying project design accuracy, and maintaining excellent customer relations. This role is also field work driven, not office driven. This includes wiring and mounting panels, running network cabling, and writing new or modifying existing controller programming.

Responsibilities:
- Manage Controls Applications projects within the assigned territory.
- Oversee project execution, time & materials management, workflow, cost & billing management.
- Review project design documents for accuracy before issuing them to the customer.
- Prepare, review, and approve project closeout documentation.
- Assist sales staff with technical applications and project cost estimation.
- Conduct and participate in project status-coordination meetings.
- Maintain good customer relations, including conflict mitigation, throughout all phases of a project lifecycle.
- Assist in the operation and growth of the Controls Applications staff by training, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions.
- Travel occasionally for out-of-state projects.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of project management experience in the BMS/BAS, HVAC, or construction industry.
- 5-8 years of experience in HVAC controls focusing on Building Management Systems & Integration.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, presentation, training, and technical writing skills.
- An analytical approach to problem-solving; team-oriented, self-motivated, and enjoys hands-on work.
- Familiarity with systems such as OPTO 22, Niagara Framework, or other major BAS platforms is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation, an active driving license, and the ability to pass a background check.
- A B.S. in a relevant field is preferred, but not mandatory. We value skills and experience first and foremost.
