Who you are:
- High school graduate
- One or more years of serving in a dining room environment and performing side work
- Must be able to direct and advise dining servers
- Current First-Aid Certification
Job Summary:
The Lead Server shall be responsible for providing prompt and courteous meal service and assistance to residents and guests. Able to perform tray service and assist with Host/Hostess duties. The Lead Server will assist in any areas of dining room procedure and operations to ensure maximum quality service to residents and their guests.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assists in supervising the functions and personnel in all areas of dining.
- Promotes proper food handling procedures to comply with sanitation and safety standards.
- Assists in the orientation and training of Dining Room employees.
- Assist with the preparation of work schedules and assigns duties.
- Types and distributes menus for AL, SNF, and or IL.
- Assists with cash handling and cash control in the bistro.
- Hold daily pre-meal meetings with staff.
- Participates in set-up, service, and breakdown of special functions.
- Monitors and enforces behavior and dress code of Dining Room staff.
- Inspects dining room for cleanliness, orderliness, security, and safety of residents and staff.
- Communicate with residents during meal hours on dining issues.
- Maintains effective communication between staff and management through daily shift notes emailed after the meal service ends.
- Maintains open communication with immediate supervisor, co-workers, and other departments.
- Follows through on all closing and security responsibilities.
Rate of Pay:
All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community require that we ask about your COVID 19 vaccination status.
