Schedule: 6:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all the responsibilities listed for Specific Maintenance II, General Maintenance Classification.

Repairs, maintains and installs electrical systems and equipment such as motors, transformers, and wiring.

Knowledgeable and confident to work on systems up to 480 volts.

Repairs and maintains mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and systems.

Performs welding and braising as required.

Must have experience diagnosing intercoms and paging systems, i.e. Telecor ITR.

Performs routine maintenance and repair of electronic temperature control, alarm systems, refrigeration equipment, and food service equipment.

Performs repair of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system.

Performs computerized programming of Heating and Cooling systems.

Performs diagnostic evaluations for malfunctions of all school corporation equipment and systems.

Recommends the purchase of new equipment and/or systems.

Recommendation for continual staff training and professional development.

Develop, maintain and make recommendations of safety policies and procedures.

Train other maintenance employees, including developing and maintaining written policies and procedures

Participates in acquiring vendor quotes for equipment repair projects.

Participates in the scheduling of annual inspections, i.e. backflow, fire alarms, etc.

Works with the Director of Maintenance to provide input for project scope of work and prebid meetings

Maintaining remote programs and databases affiliated with the Maintenance department.

Participates in “Emergency Call” response schedule.

Performs snow plowing and/or removal.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance Services.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders and crawl under desks/tables.
QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience preferred
HVAC Certified (EPA 608 Universal certification)
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
Must have strong computer skills.
Must have experience diagnosing and programming Building Control Systems (i.e. Trane, Distech, or Automated Logic Controls)
Demonstrates or has demonstrated a good working relationship with Administrators, teachers, clerical staff, students and the general public.
Preferred experience with work order/preventative maintenance software.
Experienced in snow plowing
Must have passed the Maintenance test with a minimum score of 75%
