Job Summary: Activities Coordinator for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
We are seeking an Activities Coordinator to provide engaging and supportive coordination for residents with moderate to profound intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves planning and participating in a variety of activities, outings, and events to enhance residents' quality of life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize and participate in resident field trips and leisure activities.

Plan and engage residents in indoor/outdoor social and group interaction activities.

Coordinate and host resident parties and special functions.

Create and maintain a monthly calendar of activities.

Develop and display banners and posters for upcoming activities.

Assist with resident shopping needs.

Maintain a database for activities and field trips, supporting individual plans and reviews.

Collaborate with team members and participate in meetings.

Provide direct support to residents for skill development.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; at least one year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Effective communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and participate in physical activities with residents.

Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors during activities.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Current CPR and First Aid certification required.

Valid driver's license with a good driving record; defensive driver training may be required.
Pay rate: $20.25 Monday-Friday
