Job Summary:
The Field Project Manager is responsible for performing field checks on work during various stages of completion to ensure contractor adherence to policy, implementation standards, and to identify any potential concerns. The field project manager reports directly to the Associate Director of Projects and is expected to spend the majority of their time in the field. When in the office, the FPM will be assisting other PMs with the current projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Attending pre-construction site visits to engage with AGI customers, subcontractors, and utilities. The primary goal of pre-construction visits is to verify the implementation plan, communicate modifications to the plan to the PM/Design team, and ensure that the utility implementation plan is finalized.
- Perform quality checks throughout the installation ensuring all projects adhere to AGI requirements.
- Return all information from site visits the same day they were performed to allow the AGI EVSE team to act on them immediately.
- Thorough understanding of construction scheduling and ability to communicate the need to change the sequence of different trades in order to complete EVSE scope by customer’s deadline.
- Assist the PM to ensure the project is constructed according to contract requirements and specifications and with required quality.
- Possess working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, and contract with Owner, subcontracts, daily correspondence, shop drawings and all other project related documents, and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-builts.
- Maintaining awareness of all problem areas that arise during projects.
- Travel to installation sites to oversee the installation of EVSE and quality check the installation of all installations prior to completion.
- Assist Project Managers with current projects while in office/working remotely.
Job Specifications:
- Education Requirement: Minimum of a 4-year degree (or equivalent experience) in electrical construction/electrical installation.
- Experience: On-site construction management experience, electrical trade experience (Journeyman electrician preferred)
