About Us
RC Training & Fitness (RCTF) is a premium training gym in Oak Park, IL. RCTF recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and has been in its current location for 5 years. With a reputation for providing customized programming, expert coaching, and “good vibes,” RCTF is the go-to gym for people who are serious about getting results and doing it sustainably.
Living our mantra of “Live an Adventurous Life,” our staff and members alike train for the amazing and exciting challenges that are unique to each of us. Our training methodology follows a seasonal cycle, emphasizing different fitness qualities throughout the year. This keeps all of our members well-rounded, aka ‘Strong and Capable,’ while also allowing them to lean into their favorite training styles.
We’ve been described as the punk rock band of Oak Park gyms, and that’s a pretty good assessment.
Coaches work here because they want to help show people what they’re truly capable of, their true strength. We exist to challenge ourselves and those around us—and have a blast while doing it…
And we’re looking for someone to join the crew.
About this Opportunity
With you on board, we will continue to help our members get strong and live adventurous lives! This position reports to the General Manager, and the ideal start time for onboarding is early July 2024.
You will be encouraged to express your unique spirit and abilities every day, infusing your work and coaching with your own personal style.
At the intersection of hard work, adventure, authenticity, and humor, you’ll find your place and be embraced by our crew.
If that level of connection and community sounds terrible to you, we probably aren't a good fit for each other. If you can’t wait to live an adventurous life and help others do the same, then you’ve found the right place!
Our Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of experience as fitness coaches, and experience coaching small groups is preferred.
If you have no experience coaching but do have a strong background in fitness and everything written above jives with you, we still want to hear from you! We can teach you the fitness and coaching piece, but being a “CNP” (certified nice person) is something you either have or you don’t.
