Planner, Supply and Special Projects
The Planner, Supply and Special Projects at Madison Reed will support the Sr. Manager of Supply Planning and S&OP in problem solving and creating efficiencies across Supply Chain and Operations processes. They possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments at a fast pace. As the Planner, Supply and Special Projects, you will play a crucial role in arranging scheduling for kitting and assembly. You will work with both internal and external business partners to oversee the procurement and inbound delivery of our products. You will work closely with the Supply Planners and 3PL to tee up product receipts allocated to kitting activity for channel-specific product configurations on an ongoing basis. You will assess inventory risks and partner with internal Supply Chain team members to take action accordingly, ensuring sufficient inventory to support order fulfillment for all channel demands. You will also aid in driving projects related to cost savings and introduction of unique kitting configurations.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Supply Planning and S&OP, the base salary range for this position is between $75,000-80,000 and includes travel to our Color Bars, and other events and meetings as needed up to 10%. At Madison Reed, we aim to pay competitively; factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geographic location, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and adjustment of supply plans to meet changing demand plans and minimize stockouts.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
- Evaluate weekly items at risk for stock interruption and manage expedite activities as needed as well as communication to stakeholders regarding items at risk.
- Manage Bill of Materials for all Assembly items in Netsuite and 3PL systems
- Create and maintain new component and assembly items in Item Master and communicate new items with our 3PL.
- Create Purchase Orders (POs), place with Supplier, and update PO's in NetSuite (ERP system) to reflect the most up-to-date shipping data.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Coordinate with Assembly and Supply Planners to ensure timely product receipts aligning with overall kitting and special projects needs.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to manage the inbound and outbound transportation of goods
- Aid in reconciliation of inventory levels at each location, aligning with production activity each month.
- Lead and manage special projects aimed at improving supply chain efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting business growth.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely completion.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years work experience in a Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics or other related field
- Proficient in MS Excel and ability to build and maintain planning tools in spreadsheets
- Systems savvy. Oracle, NetSuite or other ERP systems experience a plus, but not a requirement
- Self-starter with strong time-management, project management and multi-tasking skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects with successful outcomes
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change of pace
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
