Position Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the clinical team in providing personalized patient care. This position is also responsible for providing information to patients, performing a suite of pre-wellness tests (i.e. EKG, spirometry, ankle-brachial exam, body composition analysis, and blood draws), authorizing prescription refills along with preparing medications. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in a medical office setting.
- Current AHA BLS/CPR card certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree Certification beneficial but not required.
- Must maintain a positive attitude.
- Must work as part of a team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Must organize and manage time efficiently.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Degree certification beneficial, but not required
