Software Implementation Manager

Responsibilities: Position may work remotely. Responsible for the functional implementation and delivery of Landis+Gyr Gridstream Meter Data Management System (MDMS) solution. Evaluate client contractual requirements and propose MDMS based solutions. Primary accountability for the complete configuration and validation of MDMS to achieve client acceptance and satisfaction. Primary functional resource collaborating with clients throughout MDMS software implementation projects. Prepare and lead technical workshops to gather requirements and set technical expectations with clients. Prepare functional, technical, and interface specifications. Ensure that as-built solutions meet customer requirements, are properly documented, and that appropriate knowledge transfer is conducted to on-going product support teams. Apply knowledge of MDMS and utility operations to support and manage complex system implementations. Apply technical business process consulting experience related to AMI, MDMS, and utilities. Apply knowledge of UNIX/Linux, shell scripting, Oracle database, SQL querying, software system process monitoring to troubleshoot root cause analysis. Work closely with technical resources to resolve complex issues related to MDMS system infrastructure such as operating systems, databases, application servers, and ancillary components. Interact with project, technical, and development resources throughout the company to establish and maintain knowledge of core products and all enhancements and fixes, especially those relative to assigned clients. Support the creation of standard operating procedures for functional elements of the system and work with clients to establish testing plans and test cases. Domestic travel to unanticipated client sites up to 20%.
Salary: $99,000 - $137,000
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and three years experience in the job offered or three years system implementations experience. Experience must include three years each of the following: MDMS/utility operations; process definition and delivery; troubleshooting root cause and proposing resolutions; technical business process consulting related to AMI/MDMS/utilities; UNIX/Linux, crontab, shell scripting, software system process monitoring, Oracle database, and SQL querying. Domestic travel to unanticipated client sites up to 20%. Experience may be gained concurrently.
